Stefano Boeri and six others referred to trial for BoscoNavigli.

The Milan Court has ordered architect Stefano Boeri and six other individuals to stand trial for building violations related to the BoscoNavigli project, a luxury residential complex at Scalo San Cristoforo. Judge Giovanna Taricco made the decision at the end of the pre-trial hearing, rejecting the defense's requests for dismissal.

The defendants, who also include developer Cristoforo Giorgi, co-designer Giovanni Da Pozzo, former director of the One-Stop Building Office Giovanni Oggioni, and municipal official Andrea Viaroli, will have to answer charges of negligent complicity in illegal land subdivision and building violations. The trial has been scheduled for March 16 at 12:30 p.m.

BoscoNavigli is a luxury real estate project developed on an 8,000-square-meter area at Scalo San Cristoforo, near the Milanese Navigli canals. The legal case stems from investigations by the Milan Prosecutor's Office into city planning, which uncovered alleged irregularities in the construction of the 12-story building (over 40 meters high).

According to the allegations, the building was constructed without an implementation plan and in violation of regulations that limit building heights by aligning them with those of pre-existing structures. The project is said to have been carried out through an urban planning agreement never formally approved by the city council and executive committee, with alleged underestimation of urbanization costs and improper use of the negotiated building permit.
