The investigation into the stabbing of 66-year-old teacher Isabella Marsilio at the Verga middle school in Centocelle (Rome) is now focusing on identifying who published the video of the attack online and the participants in the Telegram video call that occurred during the act. The nearly three-minute footage, recorded by the camera fixed on the 13-year-old student's helmet, shows the preparation in the bathrooms up to the stabbing.

The Carabinieri are examining the four anonymous accounts present in the video call, including one using Cyrillic characters, hypothesizing the involvement of foreigners. Simultaneously, the postal police are investigating the possibility that the minor may have been "recruited" online by supremacist or "accelerationist" groups through the so-called 'True Crime Community,' subcultures present on Telegram and TikTok. The boy, who had over 4,000 followers on social media, is currently hospitalized in a child neuropsychiatry unit.

The attack on Professor Marsilio is not an isolated episode of school violence, but part of a broader phenomenon of online manipulation of vulnerable teenagers. Investigations are pointing towards 'True Crime Communities,' virtual groups born on platforms like Telegram and TikTok that glorify serial killers and acts of extreme violence. These groups, often managed anonymously by individuals even abroad, allegedly aim to recruit vulnerable youth to commit criminal acts.

The case has similar precedents in Lombardy and Sicily, suggesting a repeated modus operandi. Supremacist and "accelerationist" groups would deliberately aim to "push the system to the extreme" to provoke its collapse, exploiting the anonymity of the web to approach troubled youths. The 13-year-old from Centocelle, described as passionate about violent online content, allegedly meticulously planned the attack, purchasing dive knives online and posting a countdown on social media hours before the assault.
