Tragedy on the tracks in Parabiago: person hit by a train

A person was struck and killed by a train on the morning of Sunday, November 1st, on the Domodossola-Milan railway line, near Parabiago station. The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. at a level crossing.

Emergency services from 118 responded immediately, with an ambulance and a medical car, along with officers from the Railway Police (Polfer). It has not yet been clarified whether it was a voluntary act or an accident.

To allow for the necessary investigations, traffic on the line was temporarily blocked, causing delays and cancellations of trains heading toward Milan. The situation is slowly returning to normal.

The Parabiago incident is part of the tragic phenomenon of railway collisions, which in Italy cause numerous fatalities each year.
