East of Eden

East of Eden, the highly anticipated Netflix miniseries based on John Steinbeck's celebrated novel, premieres on October 1, 2026, with all seven episodes available at once. This adaptation, created and co-led by Zoe Kazan, promises a bold reinterpretation, focusing on the controversial anti-heroine Cathy Ames, portrayed by Florence Pugh, who also serves as an executive producer. The series explores the multigenerational saga of the Trask family, featuring a star-studded cast including Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist as brothers Adam and Charles, utilizing the extended format to delve into universal themes of love, rivalry, and evil.

Unlike the acclaimed 1955 film directed by Kazan's grandfather, Elia Kazan, this production offers a fresh and broader perspective on the literary classic.
