The Korean series The Glory, available on Netflix, is a raw and powerful revenge thriller directed by Ahn Gil-ho and written by Kim Eun-sook. The story follows Moon Dong-eun, masterfully portrayed by Song Hye-kyo, a teacher who meticulously plans revenge against the classmates who subjected her to brutal bullying during her school years. With a deliberate pace and psychological tension that builds episode by episode, the series unflinchingly explores the consequences of trauma and the moral complexity of private justice.
Despite critical acclaim, its ruthless and painfully true nature may have kept it from mainstream phenomenon status, remaining a dark gem for audiences willing to confront uncomfortable themes.
