Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy by Asobo Studio represents a bold and successful shift for the series, abandoning the stealth gameplay of previous chapters to embrace an action-adventure soul. This prequel, set in Venice and later on a Mediterranean island in the 1300s, follows the young Sophia on a journey linked to Minoan mythology and the Macula. The combat system is now dynamic and focused on direct melee fights, parries, and dodges, accompanied by environmental puzzles and large areas to explore.

Despite some minor flaws in enemy AI and occasional frame rate drops, the title proves to be a narratively gripping and visually stunning adventure, successfully renewing the IP without betraying its essence.
