The simplest visit counter on the web. One line of code, zero configuration.

✅ How it works, in plain words

Contalo is a visit counter hosted on quoz.it that works on any website. There's nothing to install: you paste a small image into your page, and every time someone visits, that image updates itself to show the visit count.

1

You copy a code like this one (you can generate your own below) and paste it into your page's HTML, wherever you want the number to appear.

2

A visitor opens your page. Their browser loads that image from quoz.it, and Contalo automatically figures out which site the request came from: you don't have to tell it, no signup needed.

3

The number updates itself. Contalo adds +1 (at most once a day per visitor, so nobody can cheat by reloading the page) and sends back a fresh, already-updated image.

Real example: you have a blog at "myblog.com" and want to show how many people have visited it. You generate the code below, paste it once into your site's template, and from then on the number grows by itself: you never have to touch it again.

🎨 Create your counter

Pick a color and size, watch the live preview, and copy the ready-to-paste code for your site. None of the choices below require writing any code.

Click the swatch to pick a color, or type the hex code directly.
Leave it empty if you just need one counter for your whole site. Fill it in (e.g. "blog" or "downloads") only if you want separate counters for different sections — see the example further down.
Custom: × px
Set width to 0 to have it adapt automatically to the text, whatever height you choose.
Live preview: counter preview

📋 Code to paste into your site:

I want to write the code by hand (advanced parameters)
ParameterWhat it does
add=1counts the visit. Only use it on the real page, not in previews or bots.
image=120x16generates the PNG image with the number, 120 wide and 16 tall. Use 0 as the width (e.g. 0x16) to have it adapt automatically to the text.
colore=FFFFFFtext color in hex (FFFFFF = white, 000000 = black).
cont=bloguses a separate counter named "blog" instead of the main one.
sfondo=FFFFFFoptional: adds a colored background with rounded corners (rest of the image stays transparent).
arrotondato=0with a background set, makes the corners square instead of rounded.
bordo=2with a background set, adds an N pixel border (max 6) in the same color as the number.

Example with two separate counters on the same site, one for the homepage and one for downloads:

<!-- homepage counter --> <img src="https://quoz.it/contalo/index.php?add=1&image=120x16&cont=homepage&colore=333333"> <!-- download counter --> <img src="https://quoz.it/contalo/index.php?add=1&image=120x16&cont=download&colore=333333">

🗺 View statistics with the map

Each site has its own dedicated page, also on quoz.it, with a map of where your visits come from (Italian provinces and foreign countries), daily/weekly stats and a log of the last 1000 visits. It opens with the same address everywhere, just change your site name at the end:

https://quoz.it/contalo/mappa.php?sito=tuosito.it // if you have a separate counter named "download":https://quoz.it/contalo/mappa.php?sito=tuosito.it&tipo=download 👁 See a live example
