The anime "GHOST IN THE SHELL," airing from July 7, 2026, has released a major update for fans. A special promotional video, directed by the series director Moko-chan, has been unveiled, featuring the image song "po-ai feat. Mirai Moriyama."
The track is a collaboration between music director Taisei Iwasaki and acclaimed performer Mirai Moriyama. Iwasaki developed the lyrics through dialogues with various AIs, constructing a unique language that does not exist on Earth, then completely reconstructing his original Japanese lyrics in this new language.
Mirai Moriyama, an actor and dancer from Kobe, was chosen for his exceptional "physicality," a central theme in this iteration of Ghost in the Shell. The digital single is already available on all major streaming platforms and will be included in the original soundtrack releasing on September 9.
The update also includes new character visuals, an end card, and cast comments for "Episode 07: BYE BYE CLAY," featuring Kikuko Inoue as the Puppet Master and Shigeru Chiba as Minister Nakamura.
