The Resident Evil horror franchise returns to the big screen with a new live-action film, a completely fresh adaptation of the celebrated video games. The movie, which will hit Japanese theaters on October 9, 2026, has just revealed its Japanese voice cast.
Bringing the main characters to life will be two renowned animation voice actors: Hiro Shimono will portray Brian, a terrified deliveryman, while Saori Hayami will play his fiancée Michelle. A new trailer for the Japanese dub has also been released, highlighting Shimono's screams as the night takes a terrifying turn.
The film marks a new beginning for the Resident Evil cinematic saga, returning to the roots of the original game born in Japan in 1996. Its release in the United States is scheduled for September 18, 2026, preceding its debut in the Land of the Rising Sun.
