The Overgeared fan community is buzzing over an unusual event: Crunchyroll is hosting a theatrical screening of the first episode of the anime adaptation a full eleven days before its TV debut. Scheduled for September 21, 2026, the Anime Nights event will bring the preview to over 280 theaters across the United States and Canada.
The anime, produced by J.C.Staff and directed by Ayako Kōno, adapts the immensely popular webtoon that has surpassed 2 billion views. The series will follow the adventures of Grid in the virtual MMORPG world of Satisfy. The official debut on Tokyo MX and Crunchyroll is set for October 2.
The trailers released so far showcase solid production values and character designs faithful to the original work, easing some of the initial fan concerns regarding the animation studio. The musical themes are handled by Re:name for the opening and virtual singer TAO for the ending.
