Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed anime series, finally has a release date. The new trailer confirms the series will arrive on Netflix on October 20, 2026, in perfect Halloween style.
The series, first announced in July 2025, is a new collaboration between animation studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077. Like its 2022 predecessor, it promises to bring new life to the dangerous streets of Night City.
The plot focuses on four new characters whose stories intertwine. We will follow Weak, a former cyberpunk legend now forced to live without cybernetic implants, and D, a deadly nomad seeking revenge. The series will explore themes of family, obsession, and identity in a disillusioned world.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will consist of 10 episodes, promising another intense immersion into the dystopian universe created by CD Projekt Red.
