Ocarina of Time returns: Zelda remake launches on Switch 2

Ocarina of Time returns: Zelda remake launches on Switch 2
After years of requests, the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time arrives on the Switch 2 with modern graphics, full voice acting, and new features.

Zelda fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, one of the most iconic titles in the series, is available this week in a fully remastered version for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The long-requested remake brings Link's adventure to modern hardware with a significant graphical upgrade. Among the most interesting new features are full voice acting, a gyroscope-assisted targeting system, and the ability to play the ocarina melodies directly into the controller's microphone.

While it doesn't add any new content to the main story, the game introduces some significant changes in presentation. For the first time, for example, Hyrule Castle Town will be fully realized in 3D, abandoning the 2D environments of the original Nintendo 64 version.

The release of Ocarina of Time is part of a week full of new releases for the Switch 2, which also includes complete editions of Stellar Blade and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as the remaster of the fighting game Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee.
