Sekiro: No Defeat, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of FromSoftware's game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has officially announced its debut as a television series. Originally presented in a film format, the anime will arrive in January 2027 as a reconstructed and expanded 8-episode version.
The film version, screened in Japanese theaters since September 4th, achieved such success that it prompted the team to re-release it in a new serialized form. The series will also include never-before-seen content, enriching the narrative already seen in theaters.
Crunchyroll will handle the global streaming of the series starting in 2027, making it available almost worldwide, with the exceptions of Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Belarus. The platform had previously announced the streaming of the film version.
