The world of video games returns to the big screen with a new live-action adaptation. Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for the Street Fighter film, produced by Legendary Entertainment, which highlights the conflicted relationship between the two iconic fighters Ken Masters and Ryu.
Set in 1993, the story follows the two former companions, played by Noah Centineo and Andrew Koji, who are called back into action by the mysterious Chun-Li for the World Warrior Tournament. However, a conspiracy lies behind the tournament that will force them to confront each other and the demons of their past.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film marks the first project distributed under the new multi-year agreement between Paramount and Legendary. Filming, which began in August 2025, took place in Australia. The release is scheduled for October 16, following a change in distributor and a postponement from the original March 2026 date.
