The anime film 'The Apothecary Diaries: Treasure Box of the Lady of Death' (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Bо̄hi no Hihо̄) has revealed two new voice cast members through a character promotional video. Miyuki Sawashiro will play Ruoqing, a mid-ranking concubine who died five years ago in the Emperor's inner palace. Ai Mikami will voice Yinshan, Ruoqing's former lady-in-waiting.
The film, based on the popular light novel series, features a completely new story conceived by the original author Hyuganatsu. It will follow Maomao and Jinshi as they travel to the concubine's hometown to return her remains, encountering pirates, hidden treasures, and a mysterious boy.
The release in Japanese theaters is scheduled for December 11, 2026. Crunchyroll has acquired the distribution rights for North America and much of the world, announcing the release date at a later time. The third season of the television anime is currently airing.
